With a prime central Palm Springs location near Ruth Hardy Park and it popular public tennis courts, The Movie Colony has been home to many of Hollywood’s most famous over the years. Cary Grant, Dinah Shore, Bing Crosby and Bob Hope have all owned homes here, highlighted by Frank Sinatra’s iconic Twin Palms estate. Many residences are sequestered beyond tall, manicured hedges, while others showcase off-the-charts curb appeal with a wide variety of architectural styles. Most homes were built between the 1930s and the 1960s. The Movie Colony features about 170 residences and a small array of boutique hotels, with more homes in the adjacent Movie Colony East and El Mirador enclaves.
